Speaking of which, these pickups have been specially constructed using the same materials as vintage examples including cloth-covered wired, fiber bobbins, and alnico magnets to deliver that signature Fender single-coil sound. The control set consists of the master volume, 2 tones controls, and a 5-way selector switch. The body is completed with a 3-ply mint green pickguard, nickel\/chrome hardware, and aged white plastics.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBolted to the body in a traditional 4-bolt fashion, you'll find a 1961 \"C\" shaped gloss maple neck. While neck profiles have been known to be inconsistent in vintage years, Fender selected the best period correct fit for this example, providing a comfortable and smooth playing experience. The neck is topped with a slab rosewood fingerboard and is crowned by 21 vintage tall frets and 10 clay dot position markers. Strings are loaded through the Pure Vintage Synchronized Tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles – providing excellent control over vibrato. Strings are then fitted in the slotted bone nut and are tuned to pitch at the headstock with the Pure Vintage Single Line \"Fender Deluxe\" tuning machines.
