It may start to smoke, but that's part of the process.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eOnce the wick reaches its proper level, it will burn out. Clean off the charred parts of the wood and re-light. A lower flame will be produced, but an hour of total burn time will break in the candle to its proper operation. Scented sessions are worth the wait!\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRinse and repeat.
