This newfound classic of the Walrus Audio library gets some well-deserved updates in its updated MKII version. Classically textural, glitchy, spacious, and ambient, the Fable MKII summons whirlwinds of granular delay to infuse any sound with proverbial pixie dust – and it only gets more inverted from there beyond the looking-glass.

Still embodying so much of what made the first Fable so compelling, this MKII version bumps up with even greater drama, vision, and lusciousness while keeping its streamlined structure. Onboard, the Fable MKII features five unique ambient and textural effect modes with reverse delay, reverse granular, octave and pitch effects with randomized, multi-tap, and analog-flavored persuasions of tone strewn throughout.

These diverse effects are sculpted through streamlined controls that make for endlessly inspiring and experimental playing sessions. Dedicated controls for LFO modulation speed, depth, and waveform shape introduce lively movement to any of the pedal's granular, reversed, delayed, or pitch-shifted textures. Onboard controls over a global rise and dive playability function puts power in the hands of players for on-the-fly pitch and speed shifting.

Modern considerations over control, connection, and playability manifest throughout the Fable MKII. An onboard preset opens up playability for user programming and recall of three onboard presets and over one hundred more available via MIDI. The pedal's 1/8" MIDI control connections additionally offer up full control over any parameter on the pedal alongside an expression control connection. Selectable effect bypass modes present the ability for the Fable's ambient mixes to either drift on past its footswitch being pressed or cut off immediately. Finally, full stereo routing with two inputs and outputs open the field for the Fable MKII to create vast stereo spreads to sort through. Standard nine-volt power supplies operating at 300mA minimum bring the Fable MKII to life in any setup.

The tale will never conclude with Walrus and their Fable MKII granular soundscape generator!

MKII multi-mode granular soundscaping effect

Reverse granular, reverse delay, octave, and pitch effect modes

Onboard LFO modulation section with depth, speed, and waveform shape controls

Dive and rise manual ramp control

Tap tempo control footswitch

Full stereo routing with dual 1/4" inputs and outputs and stereo spread control

Onboard preset bank with 100+ additional slots accessible via MIDI

1/8" MIDI connections with full control over any parameter

1/4" expression control connection

Buffered bypass with trails or no trails cutoff modes

USB-C connection for future firmware updates

Standard nine-volt power operation at 300mA minimum

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1210/3886/files/9001080MKII-walrus-audio-fable-granular-soundscape-generator-mkii-effect-pedal-gray-1.png?v=1791212960
https://www.russomusic.com/products/walrus-audio-fable-granular-soundscape-generator-mkii-effect-pedal-gray
