Description
The legendary StingRay by Music Man left a considerable impact when it debuted in 1976, with its pioneering onboard active EQ setting it apart from other production model bass guitars of its time. Continuing to push the envelope, the Music Man StingRay Special Bass comes with an assortment of cutting-edge enhancements that further sweeten the offering.
Carefully chosen for its exceptionally lightweight nature, the body of this StingRay is complemented with refined weight relief contours and lightweight hardware throughout. This combination ensures the perfect balance and comfort for extended play sessions.
The Music Man StingRay Special 4 sports a roasted maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard, meticulously finished with gunstock oil and a hand-rubbed wax blend that makes for incredibly smooth navigation. Stability and access to all 22 stainless steel frets are guaranteed by the sculpted 5-bolt neck joint.
Known for its robust, super-punchy low end, the StingRay Special gets its power from the hefty Music Man Neodymium Humbucker located at the bridge.
