Gibson's ability to recreate vintage instrument doesn't stop at their selection of electric guitars, and this Gibson J-45 Studio Rosewood Acoustic Guitar in Rosewood Burst showcases their ability to craft fine acoustic instruments that live up to the legacy of their original predecessors.
The J-45 Studio Rosewood features a top made of Sitka Spruce paired with a back and sides fashioned from premium rosewood, lending its name to the collection this guitar is a part of. Multi-ply binding surrounds the perimeter of the jumbo, round-shouldered dreadnought body.
Featuring an Advanced Response profile, the neck of the J-45 Studio Rosewood is constructed from the less commonly used utile and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets and Mother-of-Pearl Dot inlays. The total scale length of this instrument is 24.75".
Equipped with a Fishman Sonitone pickup system, the J-45 Studio Rosewood integrates studio-quality amplification capabilities into its acoustic repertoire. A soundhole-mounted volume control allows for convenient adjustments, and its discreet placement doesn't interrupt the streamlined, vintage appearance this guitar offers with its Rosewood Burst finish, that allows the Sitka spruce's wood figuring to be put on full display.
