For those looking to punch their ticket for a new kind of electric experience, this Kauer Gripen arrives just in time. With a truly angular view on the offset formula, this model from Kauer Guitars idealizes a new form of offset excellence.

This Kauer Gripen starts out with a reverse-offset body made from Spanish mahogany. This cut of wood, shaped in an artistic, almost cubist kind of profile, remains light and easily handled for any player to cross its path. As a commanding sonic springboard from which the rest of this exciting Kauer experience can leap, this Spanish mahogany body plays the body wood role in a one-of-a-kind way for a one-of-a-kind guitar. Spanish mahogany appears on this model again on this guitar in its neck, shaped in a Standard C profile. Measuring .85” thick at its first fret and .96” thick at its twelfth, this neck is streamlined and comfortable for making fast trips up and down its full length. This playability is compounded by a white-bound wenge fingerboard bearing twenty-two frets and a strikingly modern 12” radius. Jescar 47095NS fret wire forms the shape of these frets and featured Crown inlays shine for an excellently playable experience across the fingers on the entire scale.

For its voice, this Gripen is loaded with two Lollar Raw Power Humbucker pickups that call upon an impressive humbucking tone. Perfect for that daring player in us all, these two pickups play with versatility and power for any player to take hold of and let inspiration fly. These Lollars come equipped with two volume controls, one tone control and three-way pickup selector switch for rolling through an array of amplified tonality. Like the bold geometric shape of this instrument, the electronics capture a similar sentiment of a guitar that simply cannot be ignored.

Further appointments on this Gripen include a black hardware finish and a set of Hipshot Open Back Locking tuning machines. These tuners appear on the guitar’s inverted headstock and match the body’s TonePros Tune-o-Matic bridge and TonePros Nashville tailpiece to ensure solid intonation across the entire instrument. Fully, this Gripen encapsulates a solid and stable instrument with great intonation and exceptional playability on its strings. This Kauer comes with a Mono guitar case for easy transport and safe travels.

Bringing together a wealth of fine appointments with a distinct vintage style, this Kauer Gripen cashes in style to spare and plenty tonality to go around. For fans of unique guitars offering different views on classic formulas, there are few names quite like Kauer.
