Drum Workshop, commonly known as DW Drums, has been at the forefront of drum manufacturing in the United States for over forty years. Life for the company started as a drum instruction studio in Santa Monica, California. Through the late 1970s and 1980s, DW Drums introduced hardware innovations including the first ever double bass drum pedal. When the company's manufacturing outgrew their existing location, Drum Workshop moved to Oxnard, California – where the company remains today, offering levels of custom and non-custom USA-made drum shells and hardware.
DW Drum's forward thinking as a company goes so far as to determine which pattern of wood grain will best suit the kit being built for their customer. DW's artist roster holds some of the greatest to get behind the kit, but their company philosophy stresses passion and dedication towards building a drumkit for any level of player. Drum Workshop was founded by drummers with drive for drumming and making products to inspire and improve the next in line.
