PRS S2 Vela Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar, Antique White

The PRS S2 Vela Semi-Hollow is a vintage-inspired guitar of modern sensibility. Outright, it compounds the winning formulas of designs both old and new for a fully exceptional instrument.

Beginning with a unique PRS semi-hollow mahogany body with an asymmetric top bevel, the S2 Vela Semi-Hollow is notably light and acoustically resonant. This model’s unique offset, double-cutaway shape is one-of-a-kind and distinctly PRS. The mahogany body meets its match with a set, scarfed mahogany neck in a PRS Pattern Regular shape. Added to a twenty-two-fret rosewood fingerboard, the full experience of the neck is quick and outfitted for easy trips from higher to lower registers. Iconic PRS Birds fret inlays line the rosewood for an unmistakable visual element.

This PRS S2 Vela is outfitted with a unique and dynamic PRS pickup configuration. Pickguard loaded with many musical places to go, a PRS DS-01 pickup in the treble position produces a bright and powerful tone. This first sonic source is matched with a PRS Narrowfield pickup in the bass position to further widen the palette of sounds possible. A coil-tap tone control allows players to split the treble pickup to incorporate authentic single-coil tonality and get even more sonic mileage.

A refined PRS hardware setup grounds this whole musical package. With eyes to PRS's past, a plate-style bridge lands on this model, harkening to early top-loading PRS bridge designs. This specific bridge features two brass saddles and a steel plate to compensate for intonation and provide ease in stringing. PRS’s low mass locking tuners contribute to this guitar’s total stability to solidify a consistent feel and sound across the whole instrument.

Distinctly a PRS creation with a sound and style of its very own, the S2 Vela Semi-Hollow packs a charming tonal punch for your best boundary-pushing riffage.
