Russo Music and Gibson Bozeman have introduced groundbreaking features, notably the utilization of Sinker Mahogany. This rare wood, submerged for centuries in river systems, produces a visually stunning instrument with deep blacks and rich browns. Tonally, Sinker Mahogany offers a flat EQ similar to traditional mahogany but with an accelerated aging effect, delivering nuanced accents across the frequency range.
The tops are reinforced with a 30s Style Open X-Brace, adhered using hot hide glue for optimal vibration transfer. The neck boasts the beloved 50s rounded profile, while modern enhancements include a larger pickguard and a factory-installed LR Baggs VTC pickup system, seamlessly integrated for exceptional amplified sound.
Each Gibson Custom model is finished with a Vintage Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer and hand-rubbed VOS treatment, evoking a timeless gloss reminiscent of vintage instruments.
