Gibson ES-335 50s Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar, Tobacco Burst

A semi-hollow electric guitar crafted to '50s inspired perfection, we have the Gibson ES-335 50s in Tobacco Burst. Like most guitars, not all 335's are created equal, some have different pickups, neck shapes, and cosmetics. Gibson understood that well and for fans of the late '50s vibe, they workbenched a 335 that is heavily inspired by models from the model's launch in 1958.

This 335 is crafted from the traditional maple/poplar/maple body construction for that airy, snappy, and present sound. The nature of the semi-hollow design allows for increased sustain and resonation, even just playing the model unplugged is inspiring with its fuller sound. The body sports a beautiful Tobacco Burst that is further complimented by its white double bound binding trim, nickel hardware, amber knobs, and multi-ply black pickguard. The set mahogany neck features a fuller, rounded C profile and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. The fingerboard is crowned with 22 medium jumbo frets for modern playability.

For its voice, a set of Custombucker humbucking pickups reside in the neck and bridge positions for vintage-inspired warmth and output. Crafted with Alnico 3 magnets, the pickups are hand-wired to 500k pots for the best possible tone only Gibson can offer. A 3-way position toggle switch allows for expressive tone sculpting. Strings are loaded into the ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, rest in the slotted Graph Tech nut, and are tuned to pitch with the vintage deluxe tuning machines with keystone buttons. The 335 comes complete with its sturdy hardshell case – great for at home storage or for on the go.
