Description

Just when you think there couldn't be another one to rule them all, this Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Ocelot Telecaster shows up and makes us lose our cool. This one-of-a-kind Tele comes equipped with great specs, boutique electronics, and a ton of vintage-inspired vibe wrapped up in a Faded Aged Sonic Blue finish. Let's talk shop, shall we?

The Ocelot Telecaster is constructed from a roasted ash body that was specifically sorted for weight – only clocking in at 8 lb 0.9 oz. The body's off-center seem is located near the treble side of the body. For its fit and finish, the body sports a '52 Tele body shape/carve, chrome/nickel hardware, and white Caballo Tono pickguard. A quartersawn bolt-on maple neck joins the body and features a '57 Style Soft "V" profile with an unfinished back for comfort. The neck is crowned with a 9.5-inch radius quartersawn maple board and is crowned with 21 medium jumbo frets.

For its voice, Fender has chosen to collaborate with boutique pickup builder Lollar for sonic exploration. The Ocelot sports a Lollar Mini Humbucker in the bridge position and a Lollar P-90 in the neck – resulting in an incredibly versatile pair. Its control set is a stripped down volume and tone control with your standard 3-way position pickup selector switch. Strings are loaded through the Jazzmaster Tremolo and RSD J bridge – offering expressive tremolo and improved intonation. The strings are tuned to pitch with the Vintage-Style tuning machines.

The body is finished in Faded Aged Sonic Blue and the entire guitar is treated to Fender Custom Shop's own Journeyman Relic finish. The Tele feels well broken in and shows decades of simulated wear and enjoyment. The Tele is accompanied by its Fender Custom Shop hardshell case with blue interior and black exterior.
