Description

Supremely bright and warm, the Martin 00L-16E 1935 Burst is a comfortable, compact, smaller-bodied acoustic for stealing the spotlight in any and every room. This perfectly-sized couch, studio, or stage-ready guitar comes together as an effortless flex of musicality – as well as a welcomed addition to the refreshed Martin 16 Series.

In their revitalized 16 Series, Martin treats a number of its fan-favorite models to a new coat of paint – both figuratively and literally! New, musical functions and features move throughout these models for refreshing takes on Martin classics. For this 00L-16E, everything kicks off with a sloped shoulder 00L body brought together from spruce and mahogany. This iconic combo of Martin tonewoods produces the great balance of brightness and bass you've come to know from Martins, no matter their size. Gloss and satin finishes for its top and back, respectively, make this 00's look unique along with a 1935 Burst top color. Under the hood, scalloped spruce braces in an X-Brace pattern bolster projection and sustain for smaller-sized body that hits all its own highs.

At this juncture, the 00L-16E welcomes a select hardwood neck in a Modified Low Oval profile with a High Performance taper. A smoother, slimmer, more modern offering from Martin, this neck ensures smooth moves from lower to higher registers and everywhere in between with a satin finish of its own. Coupled with an ebony fingerboard with twenty frets and Mother of Pearl 1955 Style 18 inlays, the playing experience for the fretting hand is a delight in every way.

Backing up the musical feel of this 00, this 16 Series is treated with a number of fine hardware specifications. For one, an ebony Modern Straightline bridge lands at the base of the scale length with a drop-in TUSQ saddle for a solid transfer of motion and sturdy intonation. For another, the 00L-16E's headstock is met with a bone nut and nickel open gear tuning machines for smooth stringing. This 00L travels from stage to stage with an included Martin soft shell case and performs on said stages with onboard L.R. Baggs Element electronics.

A compact icon bursting with personality, the Martin 00L-16E has it all.
