Description
Martin D-28 Custom Shop High Flame Koa
With the inimitable combination of history, craftsmanship, and innovation, the Martin Custom Shop D Dreadnought Body, 28 Style Acoustic Guitar stands as a testament to the brand's legacy. Russo Music, with its proud distinction as a Martin Custom Shop Expert Dealer, is pleased to present this exceptional instrument that is both a nod to tradition and a glimpse into the future.
With a body built from Highly Flamed Koa, the Martin Custom Shop D-28 boasts distinctive aesthetics – the intense flaming in the koa makes it a visual standout. The top wood and back/sides, being the same, ensures uniformity, though one shouldn’t leap to sonic conclusions just based on this. Bracing intricacies have been catered to by employing Scalloped Adirondack Spruce of 5/16", which bolsters the structural strength while giving it that signature Martin resonance.
This Dreadnought guitar's binding showcases European Flamed Maple, which perfectly complements the guitar's overall flamed aesthetic. The neck is adorned with a Black Ebony fingerboard. Its Modified Low Oval profile ensures a comfortable grip, with 20 frets set over a 25.4" scale length ready for any player’s needs. The fingerboard itself is beautified with Abalone Diamonds and Squares in a lengthy pattern.
No electronics are found within this pure acoustic, allowing the natural tonality of the materials and craftsmanship to shine through unadulterated. To top it all off, a natural gloss finish swathes the body, contrasting with a buttery smooth satin finish on the neck. This guitar is not only an instrument but a work of art, protected in its hardshell case.
This Martin D-28 Custom Shop guitar is a harmonious blend of Martin’s rich history and cutting-edge craftsmanship. For any aficionado seeking an instrument that speaks to the legacy of both the Martin Custom Shop and Russo Music's dedication, this guitar is the perfect choice.
