Taylor 326E 8-String Baritone Grand Symphony - Shaded Edgeburst

This fantastic blackwood/mahogany baritone 8-string invites players to experience an inspiring and versatile sonic palette that’s also surprisingly accessible. The Grand Symphony baritone is tuned from B to B, blending a husky tonal register with two additional octave strings (paired with the third and fourth strings) that add a splash of 12-string shimmer. The guitar’s lower register makes it easier to sing your favorite songs and hit notes that might otherwise be hard to reach — all without the need to transpose or retune. And if you want to play in standard tuning, simply use a 12-string capo on the fifth fret. The baritone also makes a wonderful textural complement together with another guitar, allowing you to play bass parts or chord voicing variations with a pleasing mix of depth and shimmer. The blackwood/mahogany tonewood pairing yields a smooth balance of power, articulation, and sustain. With Taylor’s onboard Expression System® 2 pickup, all that rich tonal character will come through without any low-end muddiness. A shaded edgeburst and all-satin finish add to the earthy, neo-vintage aesthetic personality. If you’re looking to expand your musical parameters or reinvigorate your playing or songwriting, this guitar will make an inspiring addition to your acoustic arsenal.
