The Arturia MiniFreak 49 expands their MiniFreak hybrid synthesizer experience to a welcoming thirty-nine-key range for a powerfully vast musical palette with which to paint. Arturia's classic hybrid analog and digital design makes for a synth that swings with the best of them in terms of warped, weird, yet highly musical sounds and warm, clear, organic sound quality.
The MiniFreak, already a classic among Arturia's celebrated line of synthesizers, builds up from its more compact predecessor with the MiniFreak 49. Two digital sound engines align with onboard analog filters for a masterful mix of digital power and analog heart. Thirty oscillator modes mean the MiniFreak 49 is equipped with an arsenal of musical and textural tools to come to an endless number of musical conclusions. What's more, the MiniFreak 49 is made all the more playable with its namesake forty-nine, semi-weighted full-sized keys for the kind of reactive playability so useful for expressing yourself.
From its baseline qualities of great playability and expressive musicality, the MiniFreak 49 packs enormous Arturia functionality throughout. Functions to keep things interesting permeate throughout the MiniFreak like customizable LFOs, panning for stereo spreads, thirteen onboard digital effects, and audio input affecting. More classic synth-forward functions like arpeggiation, step-sequencing, and pitch and modulation wheels keep things familiar and welcoming for long-time synthesists and newcomers, alike. Arturia pulls out quite a few more stops with things like their XYZ touch matrix, "Freak Control," and bundled MiniFreak V DAW integration and preset management plugin.
