Dusky Augustus Octave Fuzz Effect Pedal

The Dusky Augustus carries on in the trailblazing spirit first ignited by Roger Mayer in the 1960s when he designed the Octavia octave fuzz for Jimi Hendrix. All the buzzing and bending Hendrix was famous for made this octave fuzz tone a classic, and with the Augustus, players of today have access to that same fire. While reminiscent of iconic '60s tones, Augustus has plenty of tricks up its sleeves to stake its own claim to octave fuzz fame.

The Augustus runs the gamut from thick, meaty walls of fuzzy chords to wailing, screeching octave leads. By using the pedal's streamlined interface, you can easily dial in to a unique tone over and over again and still have space to experiment. Your Heat knob controls the gain in the fuzz circuit while Light and Meat dial in treble and bass control, respectively. Mixing and melding these controls can bring you to wobbling synth-like octave sequences or mountains of fuzz to send you reeling. In addition to the More dial which acts as your volume control, the depth to which you can mix your ideal octave fuzz formula is impressive.

Dusky's entry into the octave fuzz circle stands out with its familiar origins and one-of-a-kind sounds. Hook up this distorted creature of the deep and let your psychedelic side roam free.
