Being an icon is nothing new for the Les Paul, and the Futura series doubles down on the legendary head-turner. Its Ultra Modern weight relieved mahogany body is neither an anchor nor devout of solid tone, affixed with a maple top that adds the classic LP sound with singular brightness and warm mid-range. Showcasing a gold to orange gradient, the Chromashift "Firestorm Shift" finish utilized on this Futura is rightfully flashy and eye-catching, a dynamic, light reactive gloss treatment that will never struggle to garner attention. The finish extends up the back of the Modern C profiled mahogany neck, reaching the rear-face of the headstock to allow the color mutation on stages where light cascades from all angles. An ebony fingerboard wearing 22 medium jumbo stainless steel frets gives articulate attacks and smooth playability across the 24.75" scale length, guided by luxe pearloid split block inlays to ensure shredders never lose their fretting.

New for the Futura series, Epiphone has designed the Probucker Ignite pickup, a humbucking powerhouse found in the neck and bridge positions that deliver high-output bite without sacrificing clarity. In classic Les Paul fashion, these pickups are controlled by two volume knobs and two tone knobs, one for each pickup, and functions with a switchable 3-way pickup toggle. What isn't traditional for the model, however, are the push/pull mechanisms found in the tone knobs, unlocking coil-splitting and phase options to supply the guitar with that much more voicing variation.

To ensure no notes shall falter, Epiphone installed a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece, a system which promises proper intonation with rich sustain.
