Crafted from a lightweight, asymmetrical double-cut mahogany body, the body was designed for comfort and ease of movement. The body sports a vintage sunburst finish, black pickguard, and nickel hardware. For its neck, a glued in, set mahogany neck boasts a Olympic Special profile and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard that is crowned with 22 medium jumbo frets. The Olympic Special headstock silhouette displays the Epiphone logo on the front and a gold reproduction of Joan Jett's signature on the back.

For punk rock attitude, the body is loaded with a single PowerHammer ProBucker humbucking pickup and delivers Joan's unmistakable sound – punchy, aggressive, and warm. It's simple control set features a single CTS volume potentiometer topped with a black speed knob and rubber grip and an on/off toggle switch for kill-switch functionality. Strings are loaded through the MTB605 bridge and are strung to pitch with the die-cast tuning machines. The Olympic Special is accompanied with a gig bag and artist sticker set.
