This 1973 Fender Stratocaster has a thicker "C" neck profile with a fair amount of shoulder. The Olympic White refinish is very smooth with no bubbling. Acoustically, the guitar is very loud and resonant. The grey bottom pickups have been rewound and deliver a smooth thick tone with a little bit of snap that you expect from an older Stratocaster.
This 1973 is in very good condition. It has a missing back plate with a few stress cracks in and around the screw holes. The fingerboard has been re-fretted and with signs of flakes and cracks in the lacquer throughout the fingerboard. The body has been re-finished in Olympic White with no signs of the original finish. The neck pocket was never sprayed and does show the original stamping but the exact date can not be determined. The pickguard has been replaced with a modern one-ply pickguard. The pickups are the original grey bottoms but have been rewound. Two of the three pots date to 1973 with the other being a modern replacement. The tremolo assembly has all been replaced with modern parts. The three-way toggle has been replaced with a five-way toggle.
