Description
It's a rush of Lake Placid to the face with the Fender American Professional Classic HotShot Telecaster! Taking on new fronts with plenty of fresh, imaginative takes on vintage Fender charm and modern Fender sensibilities, this addition to the American Professional Classic series fires up inspiration at just about every turn for an effortlessly musical American Fender guitar.
In Fender's American-made American Professional Classic series, we're treated to a up-close-and-personal look at a varied lineup of classic Fender specifications reinvented. Whatever you look for personally in a Fender, you're sure to come across something in the series that's both compelling and familiar. The American Professional Classic HotShot Telecaster launches with, first, its iconic, single-cutaway alder body. Decked in a sleek, high-gloss finish and a faded Lake Placid Blue color, this American Professional Classic model captures a classic Fender aesthetic.
At this point, the American Professional Classic HotShot Tele welcomes a satin-finished maple neck in a Modern "C" profile that's sure to feel familiar to other modern Fender series necks. This neck fills to a maple fingerboard with 22 Medium Jumbo frets that balance spaciousness and precision in equal measure. The fingerboard's 9.5" radius lays it all out with a flatter, more modern feel on the fingers.
This Professional Classic's voice is brought about by a the coveted "Nashville" Tele pickup configuration. New Coastline '63 Single-Coil Telecaster pickups land in the bridge and neck positions for vintage-spirited articulation and twang as prime priorities. In between these two Tele single-coils is a Coastline '57 Single-Coil Stratocaster pickup. Wired reverse-wound, reverse polarity, this Strat single-coil imparts an added bit of variety to the usual Tele tonal palette. Onboard, Fender's Greasebucket tone circuit retains signal clarity even when volume and tone are adjusted.
A reliable hardware setup builds up this American Professional Classic's voice as it bolsters playability. A 3-saddle vintage-style strings-through-body Tele bridge with slotted brass barrel saddles for a solid connection string-to-body. Fender ClassicGear staggered tuning machines meet up with a synthetic bone nut align past the headstock for smooth stringing experiences.
A veritably musical Tele, the American Professional Classic HotShot Telecaster is an example of Fender's constant reinvention in real time.
