Fender American Professional Jaguar Electric Guitar, Rosewood Fingerboard, Dark Night

For more than 60 years, the Fender Jaguar has provided players a short scale platform to express themselves within the Fender lineup. For 2026, the Jaguar returns to the American Professional series evolved with upgraded hardware, components, and fresh finishes to inspire another 60 years of short scale creativity.

Constructed from a traditional Fender tonewood formula, the Jaguar is made from an offset, double-cutaway alder body and bolt-on maple neck. The body sports a sleek Dark Night finish, nickel/chrome hardware, and 3-ply black pickguard. Its bolt-on maple necks is carved to a Deep "C" profile and is finished with a "Super-Natural" satin finish for comfort. A 9.5-inch radius rosewood fingerboard tops the neck with rolled fingerboard edges and 22 narrow tall frets. A sculpted neck heel improves access to the upper register.

To amplify its voice, a set of V-Mod III single-coil Jaguar pickups located in the neck and bridge positions do the job excellently. Voiced specifically for each position, the pickups are slightly overwound for punch and presence while retaining vintage-inspired warmth. The bridge position is equipped with a tap function (available via the tone control) – delivering a mid-range focused sound or a traditional low output sound. Standard Rhythm and Lead Circuit controls, master volume, and master tone controls let you dial in the Jag to your tastes. A Panorama Tremolo system with pop-in arm offers a range of expressive vibrato – from old school warble to Strat-inspired dives. Strings are loaded through the bridge and tuned to pitch with the Fender Standard Cast/Sealed Staggered tuning machines.
