Fender American Professional Jazz Bass, Maple Fingerboard, Aged Cherry Burst

Refreshed and returning to the stage, we have this Fender American Professional Jazz Bass in Aged Cherry Burst. Drawing from more than 60 years of heritage, innovation, and inspiration, the American Professional series has evolved over time to meet the demands of today's players. With new specs, pickups, and finishes, the American Professional is back and better than ever.

This Jazz is crafted from a timeless Fender tone recipe – an ash body and bolt-on maple neck. Its body sports an aged cherry burst finish, nickel/chrome hardware, and a 4-ply aged white pearloid pickguard. The sculpted neck heel provides improved access to the upper register, making bass leads and solos easier to reach. The slim "C" shape maple neck sports a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius, hand-rolled fingerboard edges, and a super-natural satin finish for comfortable and fast playing. The neck is reinforced with Posiflex graphite rods to combat against movement caused by fluctuations in climate. The neck is crowned with 20 narrow tall frets and accented with black dot inlays.

To amplify this J, a set of V-Mod III Jazz Bass Single-Coil pickups reside in the middle and bridge positions. V-Mod III pickups are specifically voiced and fine-tuned to each position – offering slightly overwound punch and presence where you need it without compromising on vintage-inspired warmth and tone. The electronics are wired up to ClassicGear Precision Potentiometers which deliver smooth, consistent control with custom torque. The J is held together by high quality hardware and components. Strings are loaded through the 4-saddle HiMass Pro bridge, make contact with the bone nut, and are strung to pitch with the Fender Lightweight Vintage-Style tuning machines with tapered shafts. Packed securely in its deluxe molded case, this Jazz is ready for musical exploration.
