Description
Fired up in the American Professional series, the Fender American Professional Stratocaster steals the spotlight now as it's sure to for generations to come. This flagship entry in the wider Fender legacy and in their revamped American Professional series shows off the best of modern Fender designs with thoroughly musical features found throughout while making a name for itself in the American Professional line and throughout greater Fender history.
The Fender American Professional Stratocaster takes a starring role in the American Professional series. Knockout Fender specifications found throughout mix with the series' exciting innovations to welcome in players both new and old with modern-minded features at the helm. Everything here starts – as it has with so, so many great Strats before it – with a double-cutaway body of alder. This timeless Fender tonewood serves as a marvelous base from which to build up from with a light feel and resonant tone. A gloss finish wrapped around its double-cutaway shape impresses onstage with a striking Oxblood shade.
Pretty much as iconic as its double-cutaway shape, the American Professional Stratocaster welcomes a maple neck in a Deep "C" profile. This smooth "C" makes for quick moves from lower to higher registers with speed alongside Fender's "Super-Natural" satin finish. Complementing the comfort of the neck on the fingers, a maple fingerboard appears with rolled edges. Quite smooth when playing at any segment, this Stratocaster's sculpted neck heel allows for easy access to higher frets when soloing. Twenty-two Narrow Tall frets line up along the board for comfort and articulation in equal measures alongside a 9.5" radius for equally easy power chords and solo note bends.
Sonically, this American Professional Stratocaster lights up with an unmistakable electronics setup. Three Fender V-Mod III Stratocaster single-coil pickups line up with this American Professional model to produce the eternal sparkle and snap with which the Strat became an icon of electric guitars. These single-coil pickups are then shaped through Fender's ClassicGear Precision potentiometers. Specifically designed for customized tonal shaping and consistent control, these pots make playability all the more precise.
This American Professional Stratocaster backs up its sonic experience with a lineup of quality hardware specifications. For one, the Strat is equipped with an upgraded two-point tremolo bridge at the base of its 25.5" scale with cold-rolled steel block and new ClassicGear Radial bent-steel saddles. Built for accuracy and stability when it comes to vibrato bends with recessed screws, these updates enhance playability over your typical tremolo bridge. Heading toward the headstock, a bone nut and cast/sealed staggered tuning machines ensure easy stringing and sturdy intonation. The American Professional Stratocaster comes with an included deluxe molded hardshell case.
Fired up and raring for more in its new series, the American Professional Stratocaster has plenty more rounds in it to go.
