Fender’s American Vintage II Series is a meticulously designed collection of period-correct electric guitars and basses. Each model is carefully chosen and recreated based on its contribution to the Fender story of that year. All models feature year specific bodies, necks, hardware, finishes, and pickups. American Vintage II is the most accurate production series of legacy instruments across the timeline of Fender history.
The American Vintage II 1977 Telecaster Custom is a period-accurate recreation of the ultra-versatile late 70s Telecaster. The solid alder body is loaded with a Pure Vintage 77 single coil Tele pickup in the bridge and a wide range CuNiFe humbucker in the neck. With independent volume and tone controls for both, plus a 3-way selector, tonal options are virtually endless. The 1977 “C” shape neck profile has a 7.25” fingerboard radius and 21 medium jumbo frets. The full-size Tele bridge has 6 individual slotted steel barrel saddles. The bullet truss rod, 3 bolt neck plate, and “F” stamped tuners are pure 70s. This model has the serial number on the front of the headstock, which changed in 1976.Dual string trees give you a strong break angle behind the nut.
This model comes complete with a vintage black hardshell case with orange interior.
