Fender Custom Shop '50s Stratocaster Relic Electric Guitar, Super Aged Daphne Blue

Keep it cool and keep it blue – we're excited to offer this Fender Custom Shop '50s Stratocaster Relic in Super Aged Daphne Blue. Like the name suggests, this Stratocaster is heavily inspired by models of the '50s, both in specs and cosmetics, but with a few fun twists because, why not?

This Strat is crafted from a contoured double-cutaway 2-piece off center alder body that was carefully sorted for weight – only clocking in at 7 lb 8.5 oz. Expertly painted Super Aged Daphne Blue, the body is stylized with a gold aluminum pickguard, knurled control knobs, and chrome/nickel hardware. It's bolt-on 5/4 quartersawn maple neck sports a custom dimension 11/56 off center "V" shape profile ( .820 - .890) and features an unfinished back for smooth playability. The top of the maple board shows light fret ghosting to simulate moderate and is crowned with narrow tall frets. The modern 9.5-inch fingerboard radius keeps things feeling fresh.

Amplifying this custom creation, a set of hand-wound 11/56 Stratocaster pickups are located in the bridge, middle, and neck positions. Wired up to its volume, tone controls, and 5-way selector switch, the Strat also includes FCS's Vintage Modified Strat #2 wiring setup. This setup adds a tone saver bleed circuit – retaining top end tone when reducing the guitar's volume. Strings are loaded into the 6-saddle RSD tremolo bridge and are tuned to pitch with vintage-style tuning machines at the headstock. The guitar overall displays a Relic treatment – simulated a well-loved vintage example, as well as offering a nice broken in feel. The Stratocaster is completed by a FCS COA and hardshell case.
