Keep this one a secret – we REALLY like this Esquire! Fresh in from the Fender Custom Shop, we have this stunning '59 Esquire Custom Cocked Wah Time Capsule. Sporting a collection of "you don't see this every day" type of specs and appointments, this Esquire is ready for a player to make this guitar their own.

The solidbody gets its signature single-cutaway shape from a 2-piece ash body, sorted for weight – clocking in at just 7 lb 1.2 oz. The weight combined with the ash make for a resonant and rich sounding experience. Finished in a timeless black finish, the body is double bound and stylized with chrome/nickel hardware, 3-ply black pickguard, and vintage-inspired Esquire control knobs. For its neck, a bolt-on 5/4 quartsawn maple neck does the trick, and does it exceptionally well with its '59 Esquire "C" shaped profile and 7.25" to 9.5" compound radius ebony fingerboard. The fingerboard is crowned with 21 vintage upgrade frets for great playability and sports micarta white facedots. The neck's back is left unfinished for easy movement up and down the fingerboard.

A single handwound '58 Tele single-coil pickup is loaded into the bridge position and delivers all the twang and bite you'd expect from this model. The pickup is wired to a single volume and tone control which features a modified "cocked wah" wiring setup. Players can select between 3 positions with the included pickup selector switch. Strings are loaded through the '59 style bridge and make contact with the bone nut before being tuned to pitch at the headstock with 6 in-line tuning machines. The entire instrument has been treated to a Time Capsule finishing treatment to replicate a vintage example that spend most of its life in the case tucked away in a closet or under the bed. The Esquire comes complete with a Fender Custom Shop hardshell case, traveler, and COA.
