Fender Custom Shop '60 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic Electric Guitar, Aged Natural Blonde

Fresh in from the Fender Custom Shop in Corona, California we have this stunning 1960 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic finished in Aged Natural Blonde. Aside from being visually stunning, this Stratocaster has been expertly crafted to play exceptionally well with its high quality materials, specs, and components.

This build uses the 1960 Stratocaster body carve/shape and is constructed from a 2-piece alder body and bolt-on plain grain maple neck. The body features its signature belly carve and double-cutaway horns – improving comfort and upper fret access. The body's aged natural blonde finish is further accented by the chrome/nickel hardware, 3-ply pickguard, and aged white control knobs. The maple neck sports a '60 style "C" profile and is topped by a AAA flat lam slab 9.5-inch radius rosewood fingerboard. The board is crowned with 21 vintage upgrade frets and vintage clay facedots.

Amplifying its sonic voice, a set of Fender Custom Shop handwound '60 Strat single-coil pickups are mounted to the pickguard and provide sonic excellence. Crafted from beveled alnico 2 magnets and period correct cloth wire and fiber bobbins, the pickups are slightly overwound to deliver a warm vintage-inspired sound with clear articulation and added low-end punch. A standard control set consists of a single volume knob, 2 tone controls, and a 5-way pickup selector switch. Strings are loaded through the American Vintage tremolo bridge, rest in the bone nut slots, and are tuned to pitch with the vintage-style tuning machines.

The Stratocaster features a Journeyman Relic – simulating decades of a well-loved instrument. Finish checking, rolled fingerboard edges, cloudy hardware, dings, and dents are to be expected to enhance the vibe and character of the guitar. The Strat is accompanied by its hardshell case with plush blue interior.
