This Fender Custom Shop Dual Stack HS Telecaster starts right off the bat with something you really don't see every day with the Fender Custom Shop: an 8/4 okume body, sorted for weight. A wood offered through the Fender Custom Shop but doesn't make nearly as many appearances as your usual alders and ashes, okume is a warm, reliable, and resonant tonewood with unique, detailed, and shallow grain patterns. These grain patterns might usually step aside for a color like Seafoam Sparkle, but in this model, that isn't the case. This limited Custom Shop piece features a unique finish job where its top is bound with parchment vinyl and treated to a Seafoam Sparkle lacquer finish but its back and sides are left natural to give a good show of its dark-tinted okume graining. A Fender Custom Shop Deluxe Closet Classic finish treatment inches the presentation of the lacquer gently into a "Relic" aesthetic without going overly damaged.

At this point, this limited edition Custom Shop brings on a 5/4 quartersawn maple neck in a 65 Strat "C" profile. Playing with a fast, Strat-style feel in hand, this neck measures from .820" to .974" thick from the first fret to the twelfth. This neck moves quickly and smoothly from all different positions. Here, a round lam nine millimeter AAA rosewood fingerboard joins in. This rosewood, dark tinted and featuring Micarta White facedots, is lined with twenty-two frets utilizing 6105 Narrow Tall fret wire. These frets play fluidly and with great articulation through 6105's slightly thinner and taller shape. A more modern 9.5" fingerboard radius shapes up with a comfortable feel for chords and solos, alike.

Sonically, this Dual Stack Telecaster features a fiery duo of electronics. For players seeking something truly bright, punchy, and dynamic, this Telecaster is loaded with a hand-wound Twisted Tele single-coil in its bridge position and a TV Jones humbucker in its neck. Among the Custom Shop's usual Telecaster single-coils, the Twisted Tele bridge lands at the higher end of heat with a brighter, hotter output. The TV Jones, a humbucker designed to capture the tone of original Filter'Tron pickups, makes a guest appearance with this Custom Shop in the neck position as it breaks the usual Custom Shop mold. Fender Dual Stack HS wiring shapes these two beefy pickups seamlessly for a wide spectrum of sounds.

Wrapping this up, we have a number of unique hardware and aesthetic specifications. For keeping strings sturdy, a Custom Telecaster Deluxe bridge lands at the base of the scale with block saddles.
