Fender Custom Shop '52 Telecaster Relic Electric Guitar, Dark Faded Aged Antique Burst

A lived-in, well-worn model ready for the proverbial roadshow, we've got this Fender Custom Shop '52 Telecaster in a rich Dark Faded Aged Antique Burst! This down-and-dirty Telecaster comes together with a refined lineup of worn-in, experienced features, painting a vivid picture of a Tele with plenty of character and callous built up and even more miles ahead of it.

Warm and worn, this '52 Telecaster summons a lineup of specifications bursting with personality. Starting off, this Custom Shop Tele begins with a roasted ash single-cutaway body. This Fender throw-back tonewood balances lightness and body for a great balance of resonance and punch. Landing just above seven pounds, this '52 Tele handles comfortably. Across this cut of ash, a Fender Custom Shop Relic finish treatment wraps around with tasteful chips, scrapes, and dents abound. Fans of the worn-in, well-loved, road-ready vintage Fender will surely have a field day with the complex and earthy aesthetic this Custom Shop exhibits.

At this point, this Telecaster brings on a quartersawn roasted maple neck in a '52 Style "U" profile. A fuller, thicker, and vintage-style "baseball bat" feel fills the palm prominently measuring from .900" at the first fret to .990" at the twelfth. What's more, an unfinished relic back exhibits the maple's unique grain clearly. The Tele's fingerboard fills out with no wear and twenty-one 6150 Medium Jumbo frets. A compound fingerboard radius measuring from a retro-inspired 7.25" at near the nut to a flatter 9.5" near the body makes a more modern playing feel on the fingers.

Sonically, this burst Telecaster features two hand-wound single-coil pickups. Two Blackguards – a 50-51 in the neck and an Original in the bridge – punch in with a hot, retro-style, single-coil tone. These pickups are shaped through Modified '51 Nocaster wiring for close tonal sculpting. This Tele's sounds are backed up with sturdy hardware specifications including a 51-54 Tele bridge, a bone nut, and vintage-style Fender tuning machines, and travels with an included Fender Custom Shop Strat/Tele Tweed hardshell case.
