Description
Fronting The Clash with a finely damaged Telecaster in hand, Joe Strummer's image as an icon of punk rock history can be safely marked as solidified. To commemorate the fiery passion Strummer brought to his music, Fender drops in with a tribute to the instrument that accompanied him along the way. The Fender Joe Strummer Telecaster starts with an alder body and maple neck. Both are outfitted with Fender's Road Worn finish that gives a distinct punk essence. Tonally, this Telecaster plays with custom-voiced Joe Strummer Telecaster pickups that are designed to play with grit, heat, and energy. A slab rosewood fingerboard, vintage-style tuning machines and a custom neck plate complete this picture for an skillfully crafted punk rock artifact.
Strummer's prolific work on a Telecaster continues to last as a prevailing force in rock. Take this Tele for a spin and get a firsthand account of Strummer and "The Only Band That Matters".
