Description
Chances are, you are much more familiar with this instrument than you might think. Heralded as THE vintage acoustic guitar, the J-45 has been featured on countless records and stages throughout the decades, earning itself the nickname "the Workhorse" in the process. This 1942 Banner J-45 is Gibson's latest attempt at recreating the "real deal", as if you had pulled it out of a time machine. This is achieved by using a thermal-aging process known as torrefaction, which serves to capture that warm, vintage tone that artists have come to love about this guitar, in addition to increasing the guitar's durability over time. With a jumbo body that's complete with an Adirondack spruce top, mahogany body, and rosewood fretboard, this 1942 Banner J-45 oozes personality in its tonewoods, and a classic V-shape profile on the neck offers a ton of playability. Discover for yourself the secrets of "the Workhorse".
