Gibson L-00 Original HiFi Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Vintage Sunburst

Small but mighty, the Gibson L-00 Original is an iconic small-scaled acoustic of the early Gibson canon. Throwing it back to some of Gibson's most coveted historic models, today's Original series L-00 features thoroughly modern appointments with classically artistic Gibson tenets for a totally impressive acoustic in and out of its time.

In the Gibson Original series, the L-00 receives delightfully musical upgrades and tried-and-true design tenets. Compelling features are found throughout this Original series entry with innovations and upgrades all along the way. Though of course, everything here begins with a scaled-down L-00 body brought together from spruce and mahogany. Sitka spruce and solid mahogany, two classic Gibson tonewoods, produce a vivid match of brightness and bass. On the outside, a rich gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish wraps the L-00-shape while, on the inside, traditional hand-scalloped X-Bracing liven projection and sustain. Single-ply binding wraps this body for a clean geometric accent.

Reaching out, the L-00 Original affixes a mahogany neck in a SlimTaper profile through compound neck-to-body joint assembly. This smooth and slim neck offers seamless moves from higher to lower registers while a rosewood fingerboard matches with nineteen Standard frets and Mother of Pearl inlays. All business, this L-00's feel in the fretting hand is seamless.

Backing up its musicality, the L-00 Original features a number of quality hardware specifications. A rosewood rectangle bridge lands at the base of the 24.75" scale with a bone saddle for a solid transfer of motion string-to-body. Toward the headstock, a bone nut and Golden Age tuning machines offer smooth stringing experiences. Exclusive to Gibson, a new Baggs HiFi DNA pickup and preamp electronics system brings the tones of this Original Collection model to the stage cleanly. Traveling from stage to stage, an included hardshell case travels with this L-00.
