Description
The 2023 Gibson SG Standard upholds the tradition of late '60s SG models, renowned for their timeless allure. As a member of the Customer Color Series, the Gibson SG Standard, now available in Pelham Blue Burst, introduces a fresh aesthetic to the iconic instrument's lineage.
Fashioned from a single, resonant slab of solid mahogany, the SG Standard's body pays homage to its heritage. This tonally rich mahogany body serves as a foundation for enduring resonance. A rounded profile mahogany neck ensures player comfort, while the Indian rosewood fingerboard, adorned with acrylic trapezoid inlays, provides a nuanced playing experience. Boasting 22 frets and a scale length of 628.65 mm, the SG Standard beckons players to explore musical scales with precision and ease.
A touch of elegance is added by the single-ply cream binding along the fretboard, accentuating the guitar's lines without overshadowing its iconic silhouette. This subtle cream complements the Pelham Blue Burst finish, creating a visually arresting aesthetic.
The heart of the SG Standard's sonic identity lies in the 490 R and 490 T Alnico 2 pickups. These pickups infuse each note with a unique tone, offering a dynamic range that caters to the diverse demands of players, from the classic thick grit SGs are renowned for to crystal-clear clean tones.
Draped in Pelham Blue Burst, the SG Standard pays homage to Gibson's legacy of bold design choices while infusing a modern twist into the classic SG aesthetic. This finish is not only attention-grabbing but also a perfect marriage of vintage charm and contemporary flair. As a Gibson Expert Dealer, Russo Music proudly presents this Gibson SG Standard, complete with a soft-shell case, embodying the brand's commitment to excellence.
