Gibson SJ-200 Standard Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Autumnburst

This Gibson SJ-200 Standard is a Super Jumbo-bodied acoustic-electric guitar that combines a vintage-inspired aesthetic and the modern playability that Gibson is renowned for, packing this beautiful instrument with performance features.

The SJ-200 boasts a body built with a AAA Sitka Spruce top, and a back and sides made from AAA Flame Maple. The SJ body shape and size makes for a larger, but very comfortable body profile and is known for its ability to project mids and lows beautifully in comparison to other acoustics, due its sheer size, and in this case, Gibson's use of Traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing, which furthers this guitar's robust projection. A two-bar iconic mustache-style bridge made of rosewood graces the front of the 200's body, contrasting a beautiful SJ-200 pickguard, displaying a Cream Flower design with a border and dots. On the back of the body, checker-style purfling runs the length of its center, separating two beautiful bookmatched, flame maple halves that showcase horizontal, striped woodgrain. Multi-ply binding follows the perimeter of the body's contours.

Its neck, connected to the body using a hidden-glue dovetail joint, features a rounded profile that offers a comfortable grip. It's topped with a stunning Indian rosewood fingerboard with 20 Standard frets and a 12-inch radius, featuring a standard 25.5" scale length. On the fretboard, Graduated Crown inlays are the visual focal point of its neck, and are made with Mother of Pearl.

Plugged in acoustic performance is also a highlight of this guitar, with its onboard LR Baggs Anthem electronics. This pickup system offers a soundhole-mounted volume, mix control, phase inversion switch, battery check, and mic level control give players an intuitive control over their plugged in tone, all while replicating it with clarity.

This guitar is finished with a beautiful, deep Autumnburst coloration topped with nitrocellulose lacquer, promising a guitar that will age gracefully while allowing it to resonate freely without choking its projection too much. The back of the headstock displays this guitar's serial number, and Grover Rotomatic gold tuning machines, and a TUSQ saddle and bridge pins take this beauty home, aesthetically. The SJ-200 comes with a custom hardshell case.
