In the Original series, iconic Gibson acoustics are treated to quality tonewoods, striking aesthetics, and high-quality electronics. With plenty to write home about, everything here on this Southern Jumbo starts with a classic round-shoulder dreadnought J-45 body assembled from spruce and mahogany. Classic Gibson tonewoods Sitka spruce and solid mahogany establish an exceptional base of tone for a thoroughly musical feel. These two tonewoods bump up with traditional hand-scalloped X-Bracing for enhanced projection and sustain. Aesthetically, multi-ply binding wraps this Southern Jumbo for a clean geometric accent.

Extending out, this Original series features a mahogany neck in a SlimTaper profile. Seamlessly slipped across the palm, this neck offers easy access to rumbling country chords and lively blues licks, alike. A rosewood fingerboard lays out with this neck lined with twenty Standard-sized frets. Mother of Pearl Parallelogram inlays shine with a dazzling look while presenting a smooth, articulate fretting experience on the fingertips.

This Original model's musicality is backed up by a sturdy setup of hardware specifications. For one, a Traditional Belly Up bridge lands with a bone saddle for a solid transfer of motion.
