This Henault RJE-1 was brought in by one of our local Philadelphia customers. Built in July of 1995, this semi-hollow, bolt-on neck instrument was handmade in the USA by Leo Henault. It is marked as a prototype on the back of the peghead, and the serial number indicates that it is the first of its kind. It features a maple neck, semi-hollow body with F-hole, and a tortoiseshell pickguard. The pickups are Dimarzios, and have mini switches for coil splitting. There are some small nicks and dings, and some finish cracks alongside the binding that adorns the back and front of the body. The light amount of finish has settled into the grain of the wood over the last 26 years, accentuating the grain of the two piece top and back. The case was handmade by Leo Henault as well, and includes a strap, case candy, and an original letter to the buyer from Leo Henault.
This Henault RJE-1 is in good condition and is fully functional. There is some finish checking and chipping alongside binding, light playwear across entire instrument.
