Description
The UK-based Hudson Electronics produces some truly unique pedals and tones utilizing one-of-a-kind circuitry. With this entry, the Sidecar, Hudson attacks the classic 808 circuit from a new angle. The classic 808-style overdrive tone is enhanced with a two-band EQ for further sculpting the crisp, wide-ranged sound. 15dB of cut and boost can be worked into the high and low bands using the two-band Baxandall EQ section – perfect for homing in on a driven tone with pinpoint accuracy. Two germanium diodes at the center of the Sidecar's clipping section retain the nuance of any playing style while remaining warm and articulate. For fans of classic overdrive circuits, Hudson's take on the 808 is a stellar addition to any rig.
