Ibanez SR1325SB Premium 5-String Electric Bass, Icebreaker Wave Flat

The Ibanez SR series is a testament to the brand’s lasting impact as a titan of quality craftsmanship and reliability. This premium extended-range 5-string electric bass is outfitted with select tonewoods, powerful electronics, and supportive hardware to ensure comfortable, versatile performance at every show and session.

Delivering the striking aesthetic of this SR Premium is a sandblasted ash top finished in Icebreaker Wave Flat, a finish that still highlights the wonderful grain of the wood. The back and sides are made of African mahogany, contributing solid resonance and a warm tone that ensures the low-end frequencies resonate fully throughout the extended range. Connected to the body is a 5-piece panga panga and purpleheart neck, constructed with KTS titanium rods for added support and resonance that carries throughout the entire instrument. Topping the neck is a bound panga panga fingerboard adorned with luxurious abalone oval inlays.

Hardware appointments chosen by Ibanez showcase the SR Premium’s bass mastery, starting with an MR5S adjustable bridge for fully customizable setups. At the headstock, Gotoh tuning machines provide consistent tuning and easy operation, ensuring even the lowest notes never falter. Perhaps most importantly, Ibanez has outfitted this SR with Nordstrand Big Break split-coil pickups, delivering a smooth, full sound that amplifies low frequencies transparently and allows nuanced tone shaping to accommodate any style or genre. Additionally, Ibanez installed its Custom Electronics with a 3-band EQ and 3-way frequency switch, giving players the tools to dial in their perfect tone and produce a commanding, ever-present sound that cuts through any live or recorded mix.

The Ibanez SR1325SB Premium comes with a padded gig bag for easy transport to and from gigs and sessions. It’s time to upgrade your low end with Ibanez.
