Iris Guitar Company D-WH Acoustic Guitar, Black Top w/ Double Pickguard

Fresh in from our friends in Burlington, Vermont we have this custom creation D-WH from Iris Guitar Company. Only differing from the stock D-WH model cosmetically, we opted to give this square shoulder dreadnought a black top and double fire stripe pickguard, ain't it nice?

Simple yet elegant, this guitar says a lot just on looks alone. Its larger square shoulder body is constructed from a Sitka spruce top and is paired with mahogany back & sides. A tonewood pairing utilized for decades, this guitar is equal parts sweet, loud, and deep. Reenforcing all that sonic punch is scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing under the hood. Clocking in at just 3 lb 12.7 oz, it's a lightweight, resonant experience. The body is wrapped top and back with tortoise binding.

Meeting the body at the 14th fret, a mahogany neck is expertly craved to a comfortable "C" shaped profiled and is affixed to body in a set-neck design. It's scale length is 25.5-inches. The mahogany neck is topped by a Indian rosewood fingerboard with plastic inlays and is crowned with 19 frets. The headstock sports the Iris logo and a set of vintage-style brass open-back tuners with cream knobs.

The entire guitar is finished in an open pore, natural satin nitrocellulose finish, it's super smooth, and is a real treat to play. The guitar is strung up with D'Addario XS strings and comes complete with a TLK hardshell case for safe keeping on the road or at home.
