This Custom Shop begins with a charming 000 body brought together fully from figured Hawaiian koa. The wood's natural graining and patterns wraps the guitar, visible from every angle. Traditional hide glue adhesive and assembly bring these pieces together with care and consideration. What's more, the natural beauty of the tropical wood is made all the more real with a thin vintage gloss finish, giving a more up-close-and-personal look into the dazzling aesthetic.

The koa's aesthetics are elevated even further through additions like grained ivoroid binding and fine Herringbone top inlay. From within, this 000 blooms with quality braces. The Custom Shop's VTS heat treating process slightly ages the guitar's Adirondack spruce braces. Scalloped and assembled in an X-Brace pattern, these quality spruce braces enhance projection, sustain, and tonal complexity.

From here, this Custom Shop 000 welcomes a genuine mahogany neck in an Authentic 1921 profile. Throwing it back to some of the earliest popular Martin neck shapes, this neck fills the palm and moves comfortably with a vintage gloss finish of its own. A classic Martin ebony fingerboard joins this mahogany neck lined with twenty frets. Golden Era diamond-and-square abalone inlays appear across the dark ebony board for a neat, classically "Martin" visual element.

Supporting this whole Custom Shop experience, a number of fine hardware specifications line up. A bone saddle lands with a unique Pyramid ebony bridge for a sturdy connection and transfer of motion. Toward the opposite end of the 25.4" scale length, a bone nut and Golden Age Bright Nickel Side Mount tuning machines appear along the model's unique slotted headstock.
