Martin's DC-X2ERW acoustic-electric guitar is part of the broader Martin X- Series, focused on sustainably bringing Martin guitars to players for an affordable price without skimping on what makes their company great. Built with precision and jam-packed with player-friendly features, this dreadnought guitar features hand-rubbed solid spruce top, complemented by weather-resistant HPL back and sides with a stunning rosewood print. Martin prioritizes sustainability in these builds, and the high-pressure laminate construction not only contributes to the guitar's warm and resonant tone, but also provides resilience against varying climates. The Scalloped X bracing with 1/4" Tone Bars makes for a signature, robust Martin bass response, making it perfect for the D-14 cutaway dreadnought body.
The printed rosewood pattern pays homage to the classic dreadnoughts of the Golden Age while offering a more modern durability, making the DC-X2ERW a great guitar for travel. With a Performing Artist neck profile with High Performance Taper, comfort comes with ease during extended playing. The Mortise & Tenon Neck Joint adds sustain, while the factory-Plek'd frets guarantee top-notch playability. The TUSQ saddle and corian nut, along with the compensated design, contribute to accurate intonation and tone.
Equipped with Fishman MX electronics discreetly tucked inside the soundhole, this guitar is also ready for amplified performances. Fishman, a global leader in acoustic amplification, ensures that your plugged-in tone is just as good as when it's unplugged.
