Small but mighty, we have the Martin Standard Series 5-28 Terz. New to the Standard Series, the 5-28 answers player demand for a size 5 model in the Martin lineup – the smallest one at that. Designed for Terz tuning, the guitar delivers a focused, bell-like voice that offers clarity and depth. Stitched up with 28-style appointments, this acoustic is ready to shine.

The 12 fretter gets its unquiet body shape from a traditional tonewood pairing of spruce and East Indian Rosewood. With this parting, the guitar delivers a sweet and clear tone with a nice low end depth. The top is supported by non-scalloped X-bracing. It's gloss spruce top sports an aged toner to highlight the natural beauty of the wood grain. The body is finished with 28-style back purfling and rosette, no pickguard required.

Attached to the body in a traditional set-neck design, a shorter 21.38-inch scale length select hardwood neck meets the body at the 12th fret. It's neck is a delight to play thanks to the modified low oval, high- performance taper profile. Atop the neck, a 16-inch ebony fingerboard with 18 frets and mother of pearl dot inlays completes the build – offering exceptional playability.

Strung up with Martin Authentic Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 Custom Light strings, the strings are anchored in the ebony Size 5 Modern Straightline bridge and are capped with white endpins before sitting in the slotted bone saddle and nut. Strings are tuned to Terz tuning with the nickel open gear tuning machines at the headstock. The Martin script logo placed at the top of the headstock – looking as good as ever. The guitar comes complete with a hardshell case for safe keeping.
