Mesa's Bass 400+ reigned supreme for all sorts of artists throughout the '80s and '90s. The Mesa Boogie Bass 800D punches in with a powerful Class D power amp and a lone 12AT7 preamp tube. Together, these features summon massively expressive and shapeable bass tone that fits in just about any musical situation. Thick, punchy, and versatile, the 800D is effortlessly impressive. The 800D reformats past Mesa EQ designs with new, front-facing switches that offer up control over preamp gain (Low and High), "Deep", and "Bright", that shape signals simply and swiftly in lieu of the finicky nature extensive graphic EQs can call for. On top of this, Mesa introduces their popular high-pass rotary control that sculpts out the sub-lows that can crowd a mix or muddy the cohesiveness in overdrive.

Further upgrades to the Bass 800D over Mesa's 400+ include a speakON style locking speaker outputs and a comprehensive impedance switch that offers 2, 4, and 8-Ohm operation to cover all your cabinet bases.
