The Mission Engineering Expressionator is a game-changing digital device for guitarists looking to take their expression pedal game to the next level. Expression pedals are essential tools for guitarists, allowing us to control various parameters of effects pedals such as volume, wah, delay repeats, and gain. The Expressionator takes this a step further by digitally manipulating the input from a regular expression pedal, storing it, and converting it back to three analog outputs via digital potentiometer or CV (control voltage).
With the Expressionator, you no longer need multiple expression pedals for different effects. Instead, each channel is individually programmable, allowing you to set independent start, stop positions and tapers for each effect. You can even decrease the reverb mix, increase delay repeats, and increase gain at the same time from one pedal. Designed to be compatible with most stomp boxes, MIDI controllers, and multi-effects units, it also features internal memory to save presets, so your settings are ready to go when you power on. Additionally, the Expressionator is switchable on a per-channel basis, providing either passive expression or +5V CV out, making it compatible with synth modules, keyboards, and other CV devices as well as effects pedals and rack units.
The Expressionator features three stomp switch selectable expression outputs, five programmable taper options, three color LED channel selection indication, and an LED pedal position indicator. Almost any TRS expression pedal can be used as an input. This includes passive volume pedals, which you can then utilize as a linear expression pedal.
