As stated before, this stunning guitar specimen is constructed from Black Limba to form the offset silhouette. Our favorite part of a Vela? Without a doubt, it's the pickups. A PRS DS-01 humbucker slots into the bridge, delivering crisp, slightly crunching tones with a great high-end that can clean up as easily as they can break up. In the neck, PRS offers their Narrowfield humbucker—also outputting hot mojo but with a tad more beef, rounding out a balanced tone when utilizing the middle position for the best of both pickup worlds. Dialed in with simple volume and tone controls, and featuring coil-tap functionality with a push/pull tone knob, the S2 Vela offers simplicity to provide players with a streamlined, tone-tastic experience.
