The S2 McCarty 594 Thinline Standard gets its silhouette from a double cutaway mahogany body with an asymmetric bevel top carve. Amplifying its voice, two PRS 58/15 LT humbucking pickups are mounted in both the neck and bridge positions and deliver a range of tones to explore with the 3-way toggle switch, push/pull tone controls for coil splitting, and volume controls. These pickups were designed with warm, vintage inspired P.A.F tones in mind. The McCarty can produce up to 8 unique sounds, providing a versatile platform. A pattern thin shaped mahogany neck is glued into the body and is topped with a 10-inch radius bound rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard is adorned with the iconic bird inlays and is crowned with 22 PRS vintage frets.

Holding the McCarty together for an excellent playing experience is high quality nickel hardware. Strings are loaded through the PRS Two-Piece Bridge and make their way up to the headstock to be tuned to pitch with the PRS Phase III Non-Locking Tuners with Wing Buttons. The satin nitro Red Apple Metallic finish offers a smooth feel that further enhances comfort and playability. The guitar comes complete with a PRS premium gig bag.
