Description
PRS SE Mark Holcomb SVN Signature 7-string is the extended range tool Mark designed to keep low tunings tight, complex voicings readable, and high gain tones civilized. The recipe starts with a maple top featuring a quilted maple veneer and a shallow violin carve over a mahogany back, which gives the attack quick definition and the sustain a firm center. The result is a guitar that stays articulate when the mix gets dense and the right hand gets aggressive.
The neck is maple with a satin finish so position shifts feel unsticky and fast under lights. The Wide Thin SVN profile supports long reaches without forcing the wrist, and the bound ebony fingerboard adds snap to transients. A 26.5-inch scale length keeps low strings authoritative without turning bends into gym class. The 20-inch radius and 24 frets make wide vibrato and legato cleanly predictable. Nut width is 1 57/64 inches, which leaves proper real estate for seven strings without crowding first position. PRS designed tuners keep the headstock light and pitch stable.
