The PRS Tekton homes in on what modern guitarists need when it comes to breakneck playability and blistering tone. Everything here starts off with a double-cutaway mahogany body with a figured mango top. This Shallow Violin-carved top and sleek nitro-finished body make for an extremely comfortable feel under the arm and slung over the shoulder with a strap. Extending out, this Tekton series model brings on a bolt-on scarfed maple neck in a PRS Modern "D" profile. This slimmer, satin-finished neck slips through the palm easily with an equally comfortable fretting experience. An ebony fingerboard with twenty-four PRS Jumbo stainless steel frets lays out with an ultra-modern 16" radius and offset dot inlays.

For its powerful voice, this Tekton brings on two PRS Stylus humbucking pickups. These humbuckers, specially fashioned for a flatter response (though not truly flat), produce a clear, aggressive tone readymade for high-gain guitarwork. What's more, these pickups' tonal palette expands further with a push/pull tone control that introduces coil-split single-coil tones to the equation. A PRS Hardtail bridge solidifies intonation at the base of the scale while PRS Phase III locking tuning machines meet at the iconic asymmetrical PRS headstock.
