Rickenbacker Model 4003S Bass Guitar, Rosewood Fingerboard, Jetglo

The Rickenbacker 4003S has arrived finished in Jetglo and ready to get down to business – rock 'n' roll business that is. Sharing many features as the standard 4003 model, the 4003S sports dot inlays, curved/rounded body edges, no binding, and a single mono output. Like most modern day Rick's, this 4003S includes a double-action trussrod system.

The 4003S gets its signature body silhouette from a double-cutaway solid maple body. The body's rounded edges increase comfort in both the seated and upright play positions during longer play sessions. The body is finished in a sleek Jetglo gloss finish and is completed with a white pickguard and black control knobs. It's maple/walnut through neck promotes increased sustain and resonance. The neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, and 20 frets.

Loaded in the neck and bridge positions are two Hi-gain single-coil pickups for the classic Rickenbacker sound. The pickups can be further fine-tuned with the volume, tone, and 3-way selector switch. A push/pull knob offers an alternative wiring mode, allowing players choose between a vintage or modern voice. The strings are loaded through the V2 4-saddle bridge/RIC tailpiece and are strung to pitch with the Schaller tuning machines. The 4003S is accompanied by its hardshell case which provides excellent protection in storage and on the go.
