We're very happy to now offer a custom color of the incredible EarthQuaker Blumes Low Signal Shredder Bass Overdrive: Lollypop Tangelo and Cobalt Blue. EQD's inaugural venture into bass-centric overdrive, inspired by the acclaimed Plumes Small Signal Shredder, changed the game with doubled gain and enriched bass response tailored for bass guitar. This Blumes stands out in the world of bass effects, especially in its exclusive Russo Music edition, sporting a one-of-a-kind color scheme.
Crafted with bassists in mind, the Blumes features an all-analog, tri-mode overdrive with soft clipping, reminiscent of the classic screamer circuit but with its own distinct character. Enhanced by a bipolar power supply, it infuses dynamics, clarity, and ample headroom into the signal, delivering a multidimensional tone that harmonizes seamlessly with bass amps.
Its versatile gain control spans from crunchy Plumes-like tones to a full-bodied, bass-forward sound, ensuring flexibility synonymous with EQD pedals. Three clipping options offer a spectrum of grit: Mode 1 employs symmetrical LED clipping for a crunchy edge, Mode 2 provides a clean OpAmp boost, and Mode 3 utilizes an asymmetrical silicon diode arrangement for a warmer low-end response with heightened transparency.
